Island Pregnancy Centre's Mother's Home

Current Needs:

Please keep checking back to see what items are needed for our new Maternity Home.  You can contact Tammy at for more information.

Did you know, at any given time there are 170 children in foster care on Prince Edward Island? At our centres alone we have 20+ single moms who are choosing to parent their child and we know there are many more in our communities needing support.

We recognize there is a gap in our housing and health care system in providing essential support to single moms and their new babies.

The Island Pregnancy Centre's Mother's Home will help fill this gap by providing a supportive housing environment where moms and babies can remain together while learning to create a healthy family environment.

IPC's Mother's Home will provide supportive living where young mothers can build healthy relationships, learn life skills and parenting education, seek resources for mental health, continue their education and further their personal development in order to thrive as a family and safely live independently.

We currently have one mom and baby living at our Mother's Home with a waitlist for when it's fully functional and able to house more moms and babies.

An essential part of the work we do at the Island Pregnancy Centre is coming alongside moms who choose to parent their child. We want to provide support for our families, especially those who are parenting alone.  Island Pregnancy Centre's Mother's Home is an extension of the heart of this ministry and work.
