Hope House Mother's Home Manager
Brenda Burston

Brenda is passionate about people, families and community! Her strong sense of community and desire to serve began at a young age when her parents became house parents to 12 adults with developmental delays when she was only two years old. Later in life she acquired her Social Service Diploma and used her skills and training to work in group home settings, day programs and later in becoming a foster parent in Ontario. It was during her time as a foster parent that she observed the need for family support and mentoring, as well as the obvious need for providing a safe place for children. When hearing of the Island Pregnancy Centre and the Hope House initiative she knew she had found the perfect match for her passion, skills and gifts.
